To Our Valued Customers:

In an effort to clarify your questions and concerns regarding DFARS compliance of products supplied by Fastbolt Corp., we offer the following.

In accordance with DFARS regulation 252.225-7014, "Any contract valued at $100,000.00 or above, that contains specialty metals used in aircraft, missile, space systems, ships, tank-automotive, weapons, or ammunition must provide such specialty metals that were produced and melted in the United States or within a qualifying country."

- Specialty metals are defined as: Steel with a maximum alloy content exceeding one or more of the following limits;

  • Manganese - 1.65%
  • Silicon - 0.60%
  • Copper - 0.60%

- Or containing any of the following elements:

  • Aluminum
  • Chromium
  • Cobalt
  • Columbium
  • Molybdenum
  • Nickel
  • Titanium
  • Tungsten
  • Vanadium

- Metal alloys consisting of nickel, iron nickel, and cobalt base alloys containing a total of other alloy metals (except iron) in excess of 10%
- Titanium and titanium alloy
- Zirconium and zirconium base alloys

With regards to the products supplied by Fastbolt, this requirement will affect fasteners made of alloy steel, stainless steel, and titanium.

Fastbolt Corp. intends to comply fully with the DFARS regulations and will provide full documentation and certification for all products identified as DFARS required on the original quotation and purchase order.
